Evaluation Meeting Focused on Institutional Collaborations and the PDCA Cycle Held

An evaluation meeting was held on November 5, 2025, by the Department of Social Work and Counseling with the participation of Department Head Dr. Hazal Swearinger, Dr. Elvan Ulucan Özkan, and Lecturer Seda Veli Baki. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration processes with institutions and enhancing student-centered practices.

During the meeting, it was decided to continue practice- and field-based learning activities that support students in gaining off-campus experience and to expand interactive and experience-oriented teaching methods. It was also emphasized that these processes should be structured within the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle and reported in an evidence-based manner. Additionally, the importance of continuing the implementation of processes defined under the BEK Presidency and formally closing and reporting completed PDCA cycles was highlighted.

The meeting also addressed the need to encourage the use of the “Student-Centered Teaching and Learning Guide” across all academic units and to document evidence demonstrating that academic units have integrated this guide into their processes.
